Francisco Marmolejo is a career development fellow in computer science at Balliol College at the University of Oxford, and began working with IOHK in 2020. He completed his PhD in equilibrium computation and strategic aspects of bitcoin mining under Professor Paul Goldberg. Before Oxford, Francisco completed a BA in mathematics with a minor in neuroscience at Harvard University and worked at Mahindra & Mahindra in Mumbai for their agricultural and rural finance team. His research interests lie in the intersection of algorithmic game theory, decentralized consensus protocols, and computational learning theory. He also holds leadership roles at the Mechanism Design for Social Good research initiative.
