John Woods

John Woods is an applied cryptographer and enterprise architect who worked both in the open source space and in private engineering before joining IOHK in 2021. He has led architecture and applied cryptography at ConsenSys, worked with the European Central Bank on crypto-based digital currencies, and held senior security architect roles with major tech firms. John has a BE in computer engineering from Technological University Dublin. He is passionate about decentralized and self-sovereign technology and anything that enhances privacy.
