Tim Sheard

Tim Sheard obtained his PhD in computer science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1985. He spent 30 years in academia, becoming a professor at the Oregon Graduate Institute and Portland State University, where he is now a professor emeritus. Since 2016 he has worked in industry, joining IOHK in May 2020. He is best known as the developer of MetaML, Template Haskell, and the Omega system.
