Tony Rose

Tony Rose joined IOHK in 2021, bringing 20 years of experience in the deployment of emerging technology across telecommunications, payments, and blockchain. He started working with decentralized architectures while head of product for digital wallets at Vantiv/World Pay in the US, where he deployed Apple Pay and Android Pay to millions of merchants, both physical and e-commerce. He has been active in moves to pass blockchain legislation in California and in Wyoming, where he participated in the first BeefChain cattle-tagging event. Tony helped organize and draft the Good Health Pass Interoperability Blueprint at the Linux Foundation, founded the Covid Credentials Initiative, and led the development of MedCreds, a self-sovereign identity platform. Since his worldview was transformed when he first got online as a computer science student at the University of California, Berkeley, he has sought to use technology to improve people’s lives globally.
